NABARD Grade A Eligibility, Notification, Admit Card, Apply Online, Vacancies, Preparation Strategy & Salary

Today I was thinking about all the fun times I had during my college. I did my graduation from Hindu College, University of Delhi.

Delhi University not only gives you the freedom to study different subjects and be with people from different cultures. It gives you enough freedom to explore yourself.

Most of the colleges in India are so tightly packed that you don’t get enough time to explore your hobbies.

Well, it gave me enough time to learn the ukulele and explore biking as a hobby. I like biking so much that I take a trip once in a while.

I went to Leh & Spiti some years back. It was a solo trip with some people I met in Manali. We continued our journey together from there.

You must be wondering why I am telling all of this to you when you want to know about NABARD Grade A Exam.

Don’t worry. I will connect the context soon.

While I was making a booking for the Leh trip, I got to know that they had very few seats and those seats fill very fast, so it was really difficult to buy the slot.

It is not a first come first serve basis in NABARD too.

That would be so messy, right?

You get very few vacancies in comparison to the huge number of applicants.

I will be taking you through the NABARD Grade A journey and we will start with vacancies of the exam. Also, I will be covering some of the important topics like NABARD Grade A Eligibility Criteria, NABARD Grade A Salary, when you get your NABARD Grade A Admit card, How to prepare for NABARD Grade A, etc.

So, let’s get going!!

NABARD Grade A Eligibility, Notification,Admit Card, Apply Online, Vacancies, Preparation Strategy & Salary

Coming back to my Leh story.

After I finally got the seat on time, I came to know that I was not eligible to go for the trip as I don’t own a Royal Enfield Bullet.

So, I took one on rent and went with a local group and not with the Royal Enfield group. It was heartbreaking then but now when I look back, I see how fun that trip was.

This is the reason why I ask all my students to go through the eligibility before going through vacancies. I have seen students who start preparing for the exam and later find out that they are not eligible for the exam.

I have mentioned the NABARD Grade A education qualifications, age relaxations, and everything related to it below.

NABARD Grade A Eligibility Criteria 2020

I hope that this blog helped you understand all the different aspects of NABARD Grade A officer eligibility.

This blog was written by me because a lot of students contact me through various modes like email, calls, etc to know about the Eligibility for NABARD Grade A Exam.

Till now we have discussed the vacancies and eligibility of the NABARD Grade A Exam.

I will take this blog further but before that, I would like to continue my story of Leh. When I was booking a ride for Leh, I realized how expensive it was.

My hobbies were not very pocket friendly. It was like my 2 month’s income and I was hesitant.

I asked myself “Is it worth it?”.

Indian parents always teach us to save the money we earn and they are not wrong.

I just kept on asking the same question in my head but I realized that this makes me happy and I booked it.

If you have some hobbies which require some money, don’t worry. NABARD will get you covered.

The salary given by NABARD is good enough to cover your daily expenses and enjoy your hobbies once in a while

NABARD Grade A Salary, Perks, and Emoluments

As NABARD was a part of RBI before 1982, it shares the same work culture as RBI.

There is a fixed NABARD Grade A salary as well as a certain level of perks and allowances entitled to Grade A Officers.

This is one of the highest paying government jobs in the country. I will be writing down every pay scale in a very simple language to help you out understand the pay scale.

The Gross monthly salary after you become a NABARD Grade A officer is 66,864 /-. It doesn’t mean that the NABARD Grade A in-hand salary is 66,864/-.

You must be wondering. What is it then?

The basic NABARD Grade A Salary is Rs. 28,150/ – p.m. in the starting.

As you keep on working in the organization, your basic pay keeps on increasing as well.

Let’s discuss the allowances first and then we’ll talk about all the increments and promotions together.

NABARD Grade A Officer Salary Allowances

NABARD provides a lot of allowances to all the Grade A officers which have been mentioned below.

    House Rent Allowance (HRA):

I know the pain of going out of your hometown to some other area to work. Going away from your parents is difficult but NABARD tries to help you out by providing you a home.

HRA is given to the officers who couldn’t get accommodation from NABARD because the number of flats is limited.

    Conveyance Allowance (CA):

Conveyance Allowance is basically the transportation cost paid to each and every NABARD Grade A officer from your home to the office every single day. It depends upon the declaration by you.

    Medical Allowance:

You get a Medical Allowance too. Is it for real? These allowances are also valid for the dependents of the employees.

    Leave Fare Concession Travel (LFC):

You will get the LFC allowance. This can be availed once in two years, by the employee and his dependents to go anywhere in the world.

    Bank Loan Facility:

Loans are given at very low rates of interest for Housing, Car, Education of children, Consumer Articles, Personal computers, etc.

Pension is a very common thing that every government employee draws after retirement.

Apart from the given perks, there is an Interest-free festival advance, Newspaper, book grant, Furnishing of Residence Allowance, Life Insurance Coverage, and Educational Leaves, etc. as per eligibility.

I believe that you loved all the allowances. NABARD does care about its employees and knows how to take care of them.

NABARD Grade A Increments (Rs. 1 lakh in 10-15 years)

Let’s jump to the increments given by NABARD over the years. I have mentioned the Basic Pay of NABARD with the increments in regular time intervals.

    • Initial Basic Pay is Rs. 28150 as mentioned above with a yearly increment of Rs. 1550 for 4 years
    • After 4 years, Rs. 34350 is your basic pay and yearly increment of Rs. 1750 for the next seven years.
    • After a few more years you end up with basic pay of Rs. 55600 Guess what. This is without a single promotion. So let’s talk about the promotions now.

Thus, the NABARD Grade A Officer Basic Salary after around 15 years of service is Rs. 55,600/- and this is when you don’t take any promotions.

Let us talk about the Promotions now to get a better idea about the long term work life.

It is a fact that you are going to work hard during your job and get promoted from time to time as well. These promotions will also increase your salary over a period of time.

So why not consider it right now.

You will get promoted only after going through departmental exams and interviews. Promotions definitely bring in prestige and salary hike.

The hierarchy of posts right from the post of Assistant Manager is as follows –

    1. Assistant Manager
    2. Manager
    3. Assistant General Manager
    4. Deputy General Manager
    5. General Manager
    6. Chief General Manager
    7. Executive Director
    8. Director
    NABARD Grade A Promotions

I would like to pinpoint here that the Assistant General Manager post is a highly prestigious post, though it comes with its own set of challenges.

You can be posted as a District Development Manager (DDM) in a rural district that works from a residence cum office.

    NABARD Grade A Salary Slip

The salary of NABARD Grade A Officer varies according to the city you are posted in. NABARD Grade A in-hand salary is approximately around Rs. 62,000.

Let us move to the next part of the blog. Yes, it is a big blog and I will keep on helping you out with more and more important things.

I will be helping you out in a way to apply for this exam. Before applying for the exam, I would recommend you to go and see the selection procedure and the syllabus of the NABARD Grade A Exam.

Click here to find all the details of the same.

The Internet has really made our lives easier by letting us apply for exams like these without going anywhere. We just need an internet connection and it’s done.

    Yes, you read it right!!!

You don’t even need to carry cash. You can pay online using different payment options like debit cards, credit cards, net banking, e-wallets, etc.

The process to apply for the NABARD Grade A exam is pretty simple but students still make a lot of mistakes.

So take care while filling up the form.

You don’t want to spend extra money to rectify your mistakes.

You will be able to apply for the exam only after an official announcement by NABARD.

Having said that, before you read about the apply online process, you might also want to go over the NABARD Grade A syllabus once.

NABARD Grade A Apply Online – Steps to Apply for NABARD Grade A Exam

Sixth Step: Fill your preferred centre. Make sure to fill the one which is near your place.

I would recommend you to go to the centre in a nearby city if you live in a remote place. This is an important thing to remember as the exam takes place online.

I have seen cases where the system at the centre shows some error or the centre is too dingy. This is the last thing you want after you are well prepared for the exam.

Seventh Step: You can finally pay the fees using your debit/credit card, internet banking, cash cards, mobile wallets, etc. You can know more about the fees from here.

Eighth Step: You will receive the ‘e-receipt’ as proof of successful fee payment. Keep it safe.

NABARD Grade A Apply Online – Fees

You must be thinking about the amount of money you need to spend just to sit for the NABARD Grade A exam.

Well, NABARD is not sucking money out of you. NABARD Grade A apply online fees are not that high. Here is the fee amount you need to pay.

    • Also, you will not get any refund on the Fee once paid.

NABARD Grade A Apply Online – Important Dates

I have seen coaching institutes giving out wrong dates in the name of expected dates. They are just doing it to sell their courses. I also came across it but never used it.
Are you still thinking about how coaching institutes do it?
Well, let me explain. You start searching for the dates of the exam and someone wrote that it will take place in the month of August.
You realize that you don’t have enough time left to prepare and start looking for courses. After some research you find a course on their website only and buy it.
These institutes are just creating a panic to sell you courses.

Nobody other than the higher authority of HR in NABARD knows about the date of the exam.

    I will repeat it.

Don’t fall in that trap. Just go through the last year’s dates.

Assume that the exam might take place sooner than a particular date and make your plan. Here are the last year’s dates. I have written a complete blog regarding it here.

How to Prepare for NABARD Grade A Exam?

It’s great to see that you are still sticking by after 3500 blog words.

Let us move to the final part of the blog and complete my Leh story too. Oh, just in case you want to know about each and every NABARD Grade A related topics from a general standpoint, you can click here.

People ask me, how did I get the courage to ride my bike, all the way, from Delhi to Spiti. I will not lie. It was a tough journey.

I would have failed in the middle if I haven’t had prepared for the trip beforehand. Also, I had 2 years’ practice in the city and I took the right gear too.

Well, I would like to recommend you the same thing for the NABARD Grade A Exam. Practice on a daily basis from my mock tests here and make a great strategy to clear the exam.

It becomes difficult for students to create a strategy so I have made one for you. Let’s directly dive into that.

I have provided this document as a personalized strategy to help you prepare for NABARD Examination.

The fact that you have reached here means that you have followed every step created by me to help you (and I) understand your preparation needs better.

I would like to congratulate you on sticking around and following all steps as asked by me. If you can be so patient with me, I know you have the fire in you to do it at any cost.

It is now my responsibility that you get the right strategy and the right guidance so that the day, you step into the examination hall, is not an anxious, nervous day but a confident, proud day for you.

If we consider life as a game and the hurdle of clearing your examination as an important stage that determines the further stages, then you need 2 things- intense fighting skills and the right ammunition to knock down your enemies and emerge victorious by the end of this stage.

Do not worry, I am that person who can teach you fighting skills and provide the right ammunition for your fight.

Let us now come out of our gaming zone and get right into the preparation.

Remember, it’s not easy but it’s worth it. Take a deep breath, tell yourself that you can do anything you want, and let us dive right into the next phase. Also, since we have already talked about mock tests, you should also look into the benefits of solving NABARD Grade A previous year papers as well.

I have a table below. It has been designed keeping in mind the following:

    1. Your academic qualification
    2. No. of hours you can dedicate for your preparation

Let us understand some basic points so that you can go through the table successfully:

    • Your academic qualification has been used to classify you into one of the 2 categories:

    Category 1

If you belong to the first category, you are either “Above average in phase 1 & new in phase 2”

    Category 2

If you belong to the second category, you are “new in both phase 1 and phase 2”.

    • Another classification has been made, based on the number of hours you can dedicate consistently. The division of your total hourly commitment per day into hours spent on phase 1 and hours spent on phase 2 has been made in the below table.

You can fall into any one of the following categories:

    You can allocate

    • Less than 3 hours a day
    • 3 to 6 hours a day
    • More than 6 hours a day

You might be good at some aspects of Phase 1 or Phase 2 but are assumed to be requiring improvement in some other factors. Keeping that in mind, time allocation has been made between Phase 1 and Phase 2 in your study plan.

Having understood the above points, let us now go through the table:

Strategy to Prepare for NABARD Grade A exam

You finally know the number of hours you need to give to each phase based on your current preparation.

Let’s move to the important part of the preparation. What to study in the hours we have talked about above.
