For the RBI Grade B exam, the entire process is important. However, the first step in your RBI Grade B journey is understanding the application process. 

But I want you to emphasize the importance of submitting your RBI application form correctly.

Only after successfully registering can you sit for the exam, so it’s important to get all your details right. Any errors could stop you from appearing for the exam. 

At the same time, it is crucial to pay the required fees before the registration process ends.

The official notification for the RBI Grade B 2026 exam has not been released yet. The RBI application process 2026 will start on the same day of the notification release and will continue for about the next 15-20 days.  

Once the RBI Grade B apply online process is over, then the edit window is expected to be available for the next 02 days.

If you want to make any changes in your RBI Grade B application form, you can do it. After that, you won’t be able to make changes in your application form.

RBI Grade B Online Application Process 2025

Latest Update – The RBI Grade B application process 2025 has begun on 10th September 2025, along with the release of the notification and will continue till 30th September 2025. 

    • Correction Window You will be provided 2 days for the application edit window, and you can edit the following details in the registration form.
      • Exam Centre  
      • Exam Medium  
      • Mother’s Name 
      • Father’s Name  
      • Percentage of 10th & 12th 
    • Application Duration: The application process for this will start on the same date as the release of the notification and will remain open for approximately 15-20 days.
    • Official Notification: The official newspaper advertisement is released on 08th September 2025. RBI publishes a short newspaper advertisement before the release of the official Notification. 

Important thing to remember:

    • Once the “Edit Window for Applicants to Modify Application Form” closes, no further modifications will be allowed later. So, you must be careful while filling out the registration form. 

Filling out the application form is a mandatory prerequisite for every aspiring candidate. It is the first and foremost step you must take; without it, you will not be eligible to appear in the exam.

RBI Grade B Application Fees

Talking about the RBI Grade B application fees payment, this is something without which your RBI Grade B registration 2026 cannot be completed.

The application fee payment is the most important step in the successful completion of the application process.

Now, to address the RBI Grade B registration fee, refer to the table I have given below.

    * SC/ST/PWD candidates need to pay the intimation charge of 100 INR only to successfully register for the RBI Grade B exam. They do not need to pay the application fees.
    # RBI Staff Member: They will be exempted from fees.
    # Non-Staff: Select ‘non-staff’ while filling the form, and you will have to pay the required fees.

      • Payment Mode: As far as the method of payment is concerned, you can pay the RBI Grade B form fees through online mode only. You will be required to use the following means online: 
        • Debit cards (Visa/ Maestro/ MasterCard/ RuPay)
        • Credit cards
        • Internet banking
        • IMPS
        • Cast cards/Mobile wallets
        • UPI
      • Fee Confirmation: After submitting your payment details in the online form, please wait for confirmation from the server. Do not press the back or refresh button during this time, as it may result in double payment. 
      • E-receipt: On successful payment of the fees, you will get an e-receipt, which is generated at the end of the payment process.
      • Application Edit Window Fees: If you want to make edits or correction in the application form, you will have to pay a fee of Rs.200 when the edit window opens.  

    Important thing to remember:

      • Payment Failed – If the e-Receipt is not generated, it means the payment has failed. In this case, please log in again using your Provisional Registration Number and Password, then try making the payment once more.
      • Rejection of Application – Applications without the required fee/intimation charges will be rejected. Make sure you complete the payment to confirm your registration. 
      • Refund Process  Once paid, the fee/intimation charges will not be refunded. You also can’t use the same fee for any other exam in the future. 
      • Other Payment Mode  Pay the fee only through the method mentioned in the official notification since any other form of payment will not be accepted.

    RBI Grade B Online Application Form – Documents Required

    To successfully register for the RBI Grade B 2026 exam, you must upload certain documents along with your application form in the required JPEG format. 

    Remember that the signature and handwritten declaration should not be in CAPITAL LETTERS.

    These specifications must be followed to ensure that the uploaded documents meet the requirements for the application process:

    1. Passport Size PhotoThe photograph must be a recent passport-size color image taken on a light-colored, preferably white background.

      • Dimensions: The scanned photograph should be 200 by 230 pixels (4.5 cm*3.5 cm).
      • File Size: The file size of the photograph should be between 20 KB and 50 KB.

    2. Live Photo

      • Via Webcam: As per the latest notifications, you may be required to capture a live photo via a webcam. Make sure you have a white or light-colored background.
      • Via QR: You can also use your phone to capture a live photo. Go to “Click here to Scan” option and scan the QR code, which will redirect to a website, allowing you to click photograph on the phone.

    3. Signature: The signature must be done on a plain white paper with a black ink pen and must not be in CAPITAL LETTER. The signature should be of the applicant and not of any other person.

      • Dimensions: The scanned signature should have dimensions of 140 by 60 pixels.
      • File Size: The file size of the signature image must be between 10 KB and 20 KB. 

    4. Impression of Left Thumb  

      • Ink Color: The left thumb impression must be done with black or blue ink on white paper.
      • Dimensions: The scanned impression of the left thumb should be 240 by 240 pixels.  
      • File Size: The file size of the thumb impression image should be between 20 KB and 50 KB.

    5. Handwritten Declaration  

    *The Handwritten Declaration Text that the RBI demands of the candidates goes something like this: “I,_____ (your name), hereby declare all the information submitted by me in the declaration form is correct, true, or valid. I’ll present the supporting documents as and when needed.”

      • Dimensions: The scanned handwritten declaration should be 800 by 400 pixels.
      • File Size: The file size of the handwritten declaration should be between 50 KB and 100 KB.
      • Upload: The uploaded documents should be clear and readable. Unreadable documents could lead to disqualification.
      • Ink Color: The declaration should be written clearly on white paper with black ink.
      • Resolution: Please set the scanner resolution to at least 200 dpi (dots per inch).
        Ensure the Color setting is configured to True Color. 
      • Language & format: It should be written in the own handwriting of the candidate in English only. Declarations in CAPITAL LETTERS will not be accepted.

    6. Valid Email ID & Mobile Number

    • Email ID 
      • Functional Mail: Your email address should be valid and active until your joining. 
      • Application Updates: You will only receive updates on the provided personal email address in the application form.
    • Mobile Number:
      • Active Contact: The mobile number should be your active personal contact number. 
      • Contact Change: No request for mobile number change in the application form will be considered.

    7. Graduation Marksheet & Certificate 

      • Recognized Certificate: Your degree must be from a recognized university.
      • Passing Date: Make sure that your Date of Passing from the university matches the “Date of Result Declaration” on your marksheet. 
      • Category Verification: Verify your category mentioned in the Marksheet or Certificate, as the minimum marks required to apply is not same for all categories.

    Before filling the application form, keep all necessary documents and details ready since this will help you enter the information correctly and make the payment smoothly.

    How to Upload Your Documents

    You’ll need to upload the following four documents while filling the form, these are: 

      • Photograph 
      • Signature 
      • Left thumb impression 
      • Handwritten declaration 

    Steps to Upload Your Documents

      • Step 01 – Click on the correct link – “Upload Photography”, “Upload Signature”, “Left thumb impression” & “handwritten declaration”. 
      • Step 03 – Browse and select the folder where your scanned file is saved. 
      • Step 03 – Click on the file then press “Open” or “Upload” to attach it. 

    Make sure the names (yours and your parents’/spouse) are spelled exactly as they appear on your ID proofs, certificates, or mark sheets. 

    Important Note – You must use a valid personal email ID and mobile number; keep them active until your final selection. All communication, including interview updates, will be sent only via email or SMS. No changes to your email ID will be allowed during the recruitment process. 

    Considerations: 

      • If any of the items updated such as photo, signature, thumb impression, or declaration is unclear or smudged then your application may get rejected. 
      • After uploading, double-check that all images are clear and properly visible. 
      • If anything is not clearly visible, you can edit your form and reupload the correct file before final submission. 
      • Once done, do not forget to take a printout of your online application for yourself. 
      • There is an integration of Digi locker with an online application form. You may provide access to important documents Aadhaar, Educational Qualification Documents etc.

    Step 01: Click on: rbi.org.in, scroll till the bottom of page to click on “Recruitment Related Announcements”.

    • A registration number and password will be automatically generated once you start the application. 
    • If you can’t complete the application at once, click “Save and Next” option to save your progress. It’s also helpful to review and edit your details if needed.

      The best option for you in such a situation would be to edit the detail that you might be doubtful of while previewing your application form itself.

      In case you have submitted more than 1 application form, only the latest filled application that you had submitted will be considered by the RBI. All other applications that you may have submitted will be scrapped.

      How many cities can I choose for the RBI Grade B Exam?
      • You can choose one city for Phase 1 and one city for Phase 2 of the RBI Grade B Exam in the application form.
      • You can select different exam centres for Phase 1 and Phase 2 respectively.

      Keep in mind that exam centres are allotted on a “first-apply-first allot” basis. If your preferred centre is full, you will need to select a different centre from the remaining ones.

      If your payment for the RBI Grade B Application fails, your application will not be submitted. 

      • A successful transaction generates an e-receipt, whereas no e-receipt indicates that the payment has failed.
      • In case of payment failure, you need to log in again using your provisional registration number and password and repeat the payment process.
      • If your bank account was debited, but the payment failed, you can expect a refund within 5 to 7 business days.

      No, you do not need to send a physical copy of the application form and e-receipt to RBI to apply for the Grade B Exam 2025. However, you can print or save a copy of your application and the fee receipt for your records. This might be helpful for future reference.
