What is UGC NET JRF Exam?

The UGC NET JRF Exam is conducted twice an year by the NTA and lakhs of students get involved in this drive. The NET JRF Paper helps everyone to pursue professorship as their career. The UGC NET exam was earlier conducted by the CBSE but from December 2018 onwards, it’ll be conducted by the NTA (National Testing Agency).

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should fulfill the following criteria to apply for the NET JRF exam.

1) Age Eligibility

Age should be Less than 30 years on the first date of the month in which JRF Exam would be held. There are also relaxation in the upper age limit for JRF 2019 exam:

There are no Age Limit for UGC NET(LR) Candidates for Assistant Professorship.

2) Educational Qualification (for UGC NET JRF (General)

A Candidate should have a Masters Degree from a recognised university/institution by UGC with Minimum 55% marks (this will be 50% in case of SC/ST/PWD/transgender candidate) or grade.

The online registration for UGC NET JRF Exam recruitment 2019 will start in the month of January 2019.

Syllabus – Paper I & II
