UPSC Result 2023

As the UPSC exam process entails three stages – Prelims, Mains and the Interview, the UPSC CSE result is also announced at three different intervals after the commencement of each stage.  

The result for Prelims is declared approximately 3- 4 weeks after the exam is held and is released on the official website of UPSC.  

Whereas the Mains exam result is announced 2- 3 months after the exam is conducted.  

The final result which consists of marks scored in the Mains exam and the Interview is released 4- 5 months after the Interview round is scheduled. 

The result is declared in the form of a PDF, which contains the roll number of the selected candidates.  

To affirm the details of the selected candidates, another PDF mentioning the roll numbers and their names is released on the official UPSC website.

UPSC Prelims Result 2023

Latest Update: The UPSC Prelims 2023 result has been declared on 12th June 2023 for the exam which took place on 28th May 2023.

Following the trend, the result has come out within one month after the commencement of the exam. 

UPSC Mains Result 2023

Latest Update: The UPSC 2023 Mains exam successfully took place from 15th-24th September 2023. The result of the concerned exam came out on 12th December 2023. The result was released on the official website of UPSC.

UPSC Final Result 2023

The UPSC final result 2023 will be announced after the commencement of the last stage, i.e., the Interview, which is scheduled to begin from the month of December 2023.  

The final result for UPSC CSE 2023 comprising of combined marks scored in the Mains and the Interview is expected to release in the month of April – May 2024.

    Which rank is required to get IAS post in the UPSC result?

      Hi Srishti,
      As per UPSC result, the final rank allocation for the post of IAS for various categories is as follows:
      1. For General candidates, the final rank stood at 77
      2. For EWS candidates, the final rank was 320
      3. For candidates from SC category, the final rank declared as 502
      4. The candidates belonging to ST category, the final rank was announced as 547
      5. For OBC category, the final rank released as 338

      Hi Shantanu,
      Yes, for the CSE result for all three stages, Prelims, Mains and interview—the UPSC releases two PDFs, the first one containing the roll numbers of the selected candidates and the second one consisting of the names of the chosen candidates.
